Tour of Gardner House Museum in Albion, Michigan

The Gardner House Museum in Albion, Michigan usually opens for the season on Mother’s Day – the second Sunday in May.  Albion had a part in shaping the Mother’s  Day tradition, and there is a State of Michigan historic marker about that significant day on the second Tuesday in May 1877 when Juliette Calhoun Blakeley took to the pulpit when a distraught minister could not preach.

There is usually a Mother’s Day Tea, with the Saturday day before Mother’s Day.  Reservations are necessary, so visit the official website for the Gardner House Museum to learn more. http://www.albionhistoricalsociety.org/gardner.php
