The 2024 General Guide to Albion • Marshall • Calhoun County – Wellness Edition was delivered to all homes in the cities of Albion last weekend and will be delivered to all homes in Marshall this coming weekend. If you live in or near Albion, look inside your shopper newspaper, the Morning Star, for your free copy of the General Guide. If you live in Marshall, look in the upcoming Marshall AdVisor & Chronicle. Look for the art of a large red apple on the front of the guide. The Guide will be available to pick up by mid-January in many local locations.
The General Guide is a local publication that shares special events, resources, and other highlights of the Mid-Michigan region, specifically Calhoun County. The Guide shares connections between health and social activities – what brings us together and improves our well-being. Things we may not realize are important to our health, like getting together for music, food, festivals, and trails, are more important than ever for our social ties and the region’s strength.
Special Days listed in the General Guide:
- Albion – MLK Day, Festival of the Forks, Juneteenth
- Battle Creek – Burma New Year, Leilapaloosa, Field of Flight
- Homer – Fall Festival
- Marshall – Ice, Wine, Beer, & Blues Festival, Calhoun County Fair, Historic Home Tour

CareWell Services SW employs certified resource specialists who provide information on local services for older adults, persons with disabilities, and family caregivers.
