Community Table of Albion

The Community Table of Albion is active almost every week of the year.

The Community Table organizes food distribution to about 200 families on three Tuesdays each month.  The cars drive to a loading dock at Wesley Hall Albion College to get a box or two of food.

This collaborative group has distributed 6,000 food boxes to Albion residents in 2022 and delivered over 300 boxes of food commodities to older adults living at senior housing apartments in Albion.

The food distribution is made possible with funding from private donations, the Albion-Homer United Way, The Albion Community Foundation, The First United Methodist Church of Albion, Oaklawn Hospital, Albion Healthcare Alliance, and Albion College.

In addition, there is a food pantry in Albion for short-term needs.

This service is available on most Friday afternoons.  Community members can visit the Facebook page for the Community Table on Albion to contact the group for special occasions of food shortages.
