Holland Park – There is a monument in the park (within the circle sidewalk at right) to honor park namesake and civil rights advocate Robert Holland.

Holland Park is located at the SE corner of W. Cass St. and N. Albion St., in Albion Michigan.  This park underwent a transformation in 2015 and now has an upgraded playground and other new features.  In the aerial photo shown, N. Albion Street is seen, running parallel to the horizon.  The Forks Senior Center can be seen in the center, at the former location of the Calhoun County Health Department.   The red brick building to the right of that, is the former Gale Manufacturing headquarters.

Enjoy being outdoors this summer in one of Albion’s 17 official parks, or in one of the unofficial parks such as Collaboration Corner by Biggby’s (you can pick a tomato!) or take your dog for a run in the dog park with the entrance on Division St. and Maple St. Coming soon… look in your Morning Star or Ad- Visor shopper for a booklet called “Pathways to Opportunity” in a week or two.  It’s about education.  It will also be available at the locations shown on the back of the General Guide.
