On Sunday, January 1, 2023 a group of people gathered at Ménwabek Meadow Park to walk the new trail from the trailhead there to Victory Park and back. The entire walk was 3 miles. It was a nice day compared to the weather just before Christmas, well about freezing and just a light mist. The walk was organized by three people from Albion working with the Chief Noonday Chapter of the North Country Trail.
The walk’s purpose was to raise awareness of the support members can give to the chapter through their volunteer hours and by signing up to be members and participating in walks. About 40 people showed up and walked various distances.
