Albion voters have overwhelmingly approved merging the school system into Marshall Public Schools. The question on the ballot read: “Shall Albion Public Schools, Calhoun and Jackson Counties, Michigan, be annexed to Marshall Public Schools, Calhoun County, Michigan, to be effective July 1, 2016? ” Voters in the City of Albion were fairly split on the issue, but voters outside the city approved the measure in landslide fashion.
