General Guide, Issue XX, “The Albion Big Read Edition” features educational happenings in Albion and nearby. The photo is of Harrington School on the first day of school after several years of being closed. Harrington is now part of the newly enlarged Marshall Public School District.
Albion is once again participating in the “Big Read,” a program of the National Endowment for the Arts in partnership with Arts Midwest. We are reading a book together, and having discussions, concerts, lectures and other events that are open to the public.
October is Homecoming for Albion College. We are encouraging people to wear purple, that is one of the Albion College colors, but also reminiscent of the infamous Purple Gang that once frequented downtown Albion. Click here to see the entire publication from this issue.
