Fight Hunger Give Hope raises money for food.

The South Michigan Food Bank provided 14.5 million pounds of food throughout Barry, Branch, Calhoun, Hillsdale, Jackson, Kalamazoo, Lenawee, and St. Joseph counties in 2020!

Due to bulk buying, and donations of food, each dollar donated to the Food Bank provides 6 meals to Michigan residents!

Albion has benefited from this power of food purchasing with the Helping Hands Food Hub Boxes.

How does the Food Bank work?

Ways you can to help fight hunger in Mid-Michigan.

  2. Volunteer.  The Food Bank has a page about ways to volunteer in Albion.  https://smfoodbank.org/volunteer/
  3. Hold a fund drive.  Learn how here: https://smfoodbank.org/get-involved/fund-food-drives/

Many people volunteer to help distribute the 250 boxes of food that come into Albion three times a month.
