July 28th – Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them PG-13 2h-13m

The year is 1926, and Newt Scamander (Eddie Redmayne) has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident, were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt's fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.

For it’s third year, the Kids First Free Friday Film Festival is returning to the Bohm Theatre! The program, which provides a safe and affordable cultural programming during June and August, is free for children under 18 years of age. This year we present audience and staff favorites, old and new.

We love the story behind the music. Check out the Gibson behind #moneyfornothing. What a great sounding instrument. #iwantmyMTV
Enjoy.

Marshall Rotary Band • July 23rd at 6:00 PM

It gets harder and harder every year to find traditional concert band performances as more and more bands stop performing but the Marshall Rotary Band keeps going strong! The Marshall Rotary Band plays a variety of music including show tune medleys, marches, ragtime, Dixieland, and traditional concert band pieces. The band puts on six concerts each year and for the past few years have included a performance in Albion for one of their concerts. This year, the band will be led by Ed Zentera and the concert will include not only pieces performed by the whole band but also pieces performed by a french horn quartet and trumpet quartet. One of the highlights is SURE to be their performance of the British Eight by Zo Elliott for all the Albion College students and alumni in audience.

The first concert of the 2017 season, the Marshall Rotary Band is July 23rd at 6 PM at the Bandshell in Victory Park. The complete line up can be found at www.swinginattheshell.com

The 2017 Swingin’ at the Shell concerts series is sponsored by: Caster Concepts, Parks Drug Store, Team 1 Plastics, Knauf Insulation and TruGreen Commercial. These events are also supported, in part, by the Albion Community Foundation and the Michigan Humanities Council.
