This year Michigan voters may vote by absentee ballot without any reason required. Every registered voter in Michigan will receive an application to vote absentee by mail
Michigan residents can vote by absentee ballots in both the August 4 Primary Election and the November 3 Presidential Election.
Voter registration is now available online in Michigan as well. Voting by mail will be safer during the COVID-19 pandemic. Plus it has been tested to ensure security and accuracy.
Sample ballots are online now for the August Primary Election, and samples ballots will be available for the November election within the months preceding. Visit Michigan.gov/vote and enter your information to get the appropriate ballot.
The poll location is changing for electors in Precincts 2 & 3 due to Irwin Avenue construction in Albion for the August 2019 election. Instead of St. John’s School, go to Tenant Hall/Methodist Church at 600 E. Michigan Ave. See map on the links below for Calhoun County. See image below.

Information below is excerpted from this article by ProPublica – Journalism in the Public Interest:
An increasing number of Americans vote by mail in an age when fewer of us have a reason to keep postage on hand. But it’s long been an open secret among election officials: Even though the return envelopes on many mail-in ballots say “postage required,” the U.S. Postal Service will deliver even without a stamp.
“It’s absolutely the case that postage is required; it’s just a question of if the voter fails to put sufficient postage on, what happens then,” said Tammy Patrick, senior adviser for the elections program at the Democracy Fund.
Some election jurisdictions prepay the postage for ballots to be returned.
