The Albion-Marshall Resilient Communities Project brought together twelve different community-based organizations for the 2018 Financial Empowerment Fair – Own It! at the Ludington Center in downtown Albion.
The afternoon was filled with workshops for every generation regarding homeownership, credit building and credit repair, investing and retiring. On-site childcare and transportation were also available to make sure the event was accessible to all.
This initiative was made possible through the efforts of volunteers from Starr Commonwealth, Homestead Savings Bank, Build Albion AmeriCorps VISTA Initiative, Albion College, local places of worship, and the 100+ residents who came out in January to participate!
