Map of Educational Institutions in and near Albion
This map was originally part of the General Guide – Back to School 2016 – issue. General Guide still provides a shareable Google Calendar of Big Albion Events that is suitable for merging with other area non-profit organizations.
If you are new to Albion, welcome!
Albion has more educational institutions than many small cities. The map above shows the educational resources we have now for the residents of Albion. There are two colleges: Albion College and Kellogg Community College – Eastern Academic Campus, plus Starr Commonweath. Albion’s public schools have changed a lot since the annexation with Marshall schools in 2016. Harrington elementary school is still in Albion as part of the new arrangement, and also Marshall Opportunity School at the old Albion High School building.
Much of the newly enlarged school district, including all middle school education is about 12 miles from Albion, in Marshall, Michigan. School buses come to homes all over Albion each school day morning, picking up students at or near their homes. There are buses from several different school districts doing this each day.
