Anyone looking for information on policies, procedures, protocols, tracing information, etc. can check out the MPS Covid Kit. It has answers to many of the questions stated in this comment stream: bit.ly/MPSCovidKit

When someone at a factory, store or any other work place test positive 99% of the work places only send the ones who have had direct contact with said persons home for quarantine in addition to those who tested positive. Why would or should schools run any differently?

Some of you have doctorate degrees....you should've know this was coming. Prayers go out to everyone.

Well they were notified September 7th Monday not the 8,Tuesday. And how can they be sure that both cases are not related.

I appreciate the notice and all that MPS staff is doing for our children. I send my children in person and I knew this was a possibility and I'm not surprised by it. Our children can get it from anywhere, stores, restaurants, from us parents who work outside the home or do the shopping, I'm simply not surprised.

Everyone is doing the best they can with facts they have at the moment. Please give some grace for our educators who want the best for all.

and so it begins..... 😕

How many confirmed cases can come from this before school has to be shut back down?

Mary Kennedy Michelle Pope

Wondering how and why our school district is making the news? When other schools are in the same boat some with bigger numbers. I would hate to think someone is leaking information to the media. I would also like to think our students privacy should be respected. Now because certain information was shared people are on a witch hunt to know who's got it.

I keep reading about ppl shouldn’t be surprised but I don’t see any where ppl are surprised I only see concerned parents/ teachers. I also saw give the educators some grace, I think we could all agree with that and appreciate the principal, staff and teachers for being their for our children. We all should be able to voice our concerns and opinions with out being attacked. I don’t believe anyone is attacking the staff of MPH I think we all want whats best for our kids and parents. I agree that there should be no surprises becuz many schools in Michigan and afar, including colleges and universities, have had cases, b4 MPS began, this is why as some one said, we must continue and prep our children, teach our children to stay safe in school just like we do when they have been going into stores and such. Plus we still do have the options to keep our kids home. Prayers up for our students and the staff that are in place to make sure they receive the best education inspite of this pandemic. Earl Burrell

This virus is 99.96% survivable. The rates for kids 5 to 18 are even higher. Relax, everyone. Any immune compromised people should already be staying home and in isolation. Healthy people have very little to fear from this virus. Wash your hands, wear your mask, avoid sick people, take reasonable precautions. Its not rocket science.

We can all do our share to keep each other safe and slow the spread of COVID-19. By following these helpful tips from our local healthcare organization, Oaklawn, we can continue moving closer to the end goal of being mask free. Until then, we recommend checking out these tips including how to properly store a mask when it's not being worn, and basic hygiene that should be always be followed - pandemic or not. #maskupmarshall ... I can't seem to find the pre-order spot for my child when I click the link. She's going to MMS...

I did the pre-ordering last week for my son and logged on just now to look at his account. I noticed his account was charged twice each day last week (Thursday and Friday). Is this because we ordered online? Is there something he needs to be telling staff so he isn’t charged twice a day for lunch? Is there any way to fix this? TIA

Is the high school going to do like the middle school? Where u can go online to sign up your kids to bring lunch home for remote days. MMS is more organized concerning this issue. NO one has any information because the letter u posted to me recently doesn't add up and no one has seen it before 🤷🏾‍♀️🤷🏾‍♀️

The wording on this post is awful and contains no easily accessible information for families who are going 💯 virtual. Also, I tried to do all of this Friday and was told the online ordering option was not set up yet for the “Albion buildings”. This is a HUGE equity issue.

Are you going to be doing lunches or pre ebt for kids remote learning?

Great tips for families to help reinforce a kind and safe learning community! ❤️Things I tell my kids on repeat...

✨Do the right thing.

✨First, open your ears. Then your mouth.

✨You can do hard things. You just have to work hard.

✨You will always get more out of what you give than what you take.

✨Tell the truth.

✨Look to see if someone is being left out- check in & see if they need help or want to play.

✨Keep up your creativity. Who knows what can come of it!

✨Have courage. Be kind.

✨Never be afraid to ask for help or speak up.

✨God made you, YOU for a reason. Stay true to yourself.

✨Nothing could ever make me love you more. Nothing could ever make me love you less.

...and they don’t hurt to repeat to myself either.

What do you always say to your kids that also serves as a good reminder to yourself? And for our future 🖤

These shirts are very popular with the kids these days.

Personally, I'm confused by them! Are you cold(has a hood) 🥶 or are you hot(no sleeves)🥵? OBVIOULSY, this shows my age and lack of coolness! 😏

Regardless they are available in the school spirit store!! My son wears his ALOT!

Still time to place to your order!

The end of the 2019-2020 school has come and gone. The PTA is looking for a few new officers for the 2020-2021 school year. Please reach out it you are interested.
Students love the events we put on ( Monster Mash and Parent/child dances among other things) but we need YOUR help. With more parents involved, there is less that each individual needs to do.

Please read the following to understand what we do. It is a myth that you must attend every meeting, it is requested that you attend 5 of the 11 meetings that are held monthly.
PM us if you are interested...we are already making plans for next year!
