The Albion Public Schools District will be holding a vote of the electorate on May 3rd, 2016 in which the following question will be asked:
“Shall Albion Public Schools, Calhoun and Jackson Counties, Michigan, be annexed to Marshall Public Schools, Calhoun County, Michigan, to be effective July 1, 2016?”
Voters within the district are eligible to cast a ballot in this election. District voters include residents
in the townships of Parma and Concord, in Jackson County and Albion, Eckford, Marengo, and
Sheridan, in Calhoun County, in addition to City of Albion residents. See map at the bottom of this page.
Please note some polling station changes, listed below:
- Marengo Township voters will vote at Tennant Hall, First United Methodist
Church (600 E. Michigan Ave) in Albion. - Parma Township voters will vote in the SAME building as they normally vote, although the GIS address has changed: 16407 Comdon Rd. Eckford Township voters will vote in the Albion Township Hall, 28051 F Dr. S.
- Concord, Sheridan, and Albion Township voters will vote in the same locations in which they normal vote.
- City of Albion residents will vote in their normal precinct polling places.

News from City Clerk – Albion Wildcat logos and words on clothing or signs will not be allowed within 100 yards of polling places.
We know the Wildcats will still be in the hearts of all voters for both sides.
But even more important is the future of our young people. We will vote for the best possible education for our youth.
